In February 10-12, 2026, two representatives from Gateway Education Global (GEG) conducted a safeguarding training and facilitated training sessions for safeguarding team at Hope Academy.
The resource persons were Mrs. Bronwen Coe, International Safeguarding Lead of Gateway Education Global, and Mr. Cesar Valdez.
The goal of the Project Safeguarding Assessment (PSA) was to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of Hope Academy’s safeguarding program through a series of interviews and a thorough review of existing safeguarding policies and procedures.
In the afternoon, Mrs. Coe conducted a specialized training session for the Safeguarding Response Team.
On Wednesday, an additional professional development session was provided for teachers, staff, and parent volunteers, focusing on strengthening safeguarding awareness and practices within the school community.
Overall, the three-day visit was very productive and beneficial. Mrs. Coe and her team will provide a comprehensive written report with findings and recommendations for further improvement through the Project Safeguarding Assessment (PSA) .
This initiative is part of a collaborative effort between Gateway Education Global (GEG) and Hope Academy to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
