Brief Description

Hope Academy of Bishkek is seeking a qualified and motivated Social Studies Teacher (Grades 6–8) to join our secondary team for the 2026–2027 academic year. The teacher will deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction in middle school social studies, aligned with an American curriculum framework.

As part of the social studies program, the teacher will also teach Central Asian History & Culture as a dedicated unit and as an elective course, helping students develop an understanding of regional history within a broader global context. Instruction will foster historical thinking skills, cultural awareness, and inquiry-based learning.

Purpose of the Position

The purpose of the Social Studies (Grades 6–8) / Central Asian History & Culture Teacher (Elective) position is to support Hope Academy’s mission by providing high-quality instruction that builds students’ foundational knowledge of history, geography, civics, and culture.

The teacher will guide students in developing critical thinking, historical inquiry, and cultural literacy, while promoting respect for diversity and multiple perspectives. This role supports Hope Academy’s commitment to academic excellence by creating an inclusive, engaging, and inquiry-based learning environment within a multicultural international school community.
